Leaders wield a force which catalyze not just our expectations and dreams, but also the very fabric of our collective fate: When peoples of power interact with each other’s or when they interact with us (the nation), we enter in the sacred field of politics.
But what truly fascinates us in today’s newsletter, is how powerful individuals’ challenge and influence each other. What unfolds in such situations?
There's something both mathematical and mysterious in the negotiations, discussions, debates, and exchanges among people aware of the weight of their decisions, and this is something that has deeply inspired us in "Aurion."

A lot of very good pop culture stories have depicted the ugly and the sacred of Politics. Take, for instance, "Dune," with the matriarchal sect called the "Bene Gesserit" striving to manipulate bloodlines to shape and potentially control humanity “For the greater good”.
Or the dramatic odyssey of the (anti) hero Paul Atreides, who seeks to save humanity by genociding a huge part of it. A paradoxical question emerging on the way of every politic leader:
One scene that particularly struck me as an author is in the movie "Lincoln" from Spielberg: When Lincoln discusses the freedom of slaves with the character played by Tommy Lee Jones in a cellar.

Lincoln By Spielberg: The Cellar Scene
These two men, bearing the opportunity to abolish slavery, must reach a consensus that goes against their native conflicts. They are from opposite party (Republicans/Democrats), but they must trust each other to advance their common cause.
When you're in such a position of power, like Lincoln, who must abolish slavery, or Mandela, who must face South African President Frederik de Klerk, who stole his life for 20 years, you hold the fate of an entire people and you have to think beyond your own values, your own bias, your own suffering for the greater good. It’s…. fascinating.
As gaming studio we wanted to offer our own symbolic view of this “sacred field of politics” with an African approach. And that’s what we have done in our universe Aurion.
The Aurionic energy is a spiritual force that shapes the world and it obeys only to those with the greatest beliefs. When one Aurionic confronts another, it's the winner existential voice that prevails over the global Aurion (or global consciousness).
In the first 8 volumes of the Aurion Graphic Novel, we've emphasized how ideological clashes manifest in combat with special effects, transformation, magic, sword etc.

Existential combat in Aurion Vol 8
In fact, on the planet Aurioma, most ideological clashes are resolved not through combat (Otherwise, it wouldn't be a civilization), but through discussions and debates. This is what we called "Aurionic Palaver."
When two individuals engage in discussion, expressing their thoughts, the strongest Aurionic vibration prevails, or at least influences, the other.
For example, in Volume 9, when the king of Zama must address the Council of the city of Isao, Enkwo doesn't get what he wants (which was rather normal as his request was quite unrealistic).
When he's about to be escorted out of the throne room, he reacts violently, intervenes, and triggers his Aurion to shout his truth to the world.

And when he shouts from his soul, from his whole being, he influences others who begin to consider his point of view. This is the political influence of an Aurion in the end! When an Aurion vibrates strongly, it imposes its convictions on its surroundings and it can reshape the power of a political world.

Enkwo’s Aurion influencing the Isao Council

King Mankara answering back to the King of Zama
When we speak about influence, finally It all comes back to that vibration.
What do I feel from the other person facing me? Do I feel a part of myself? Do I feel something that I would like to be?
And, when the king of Zama expresses all that he is, and the dignitaries begin to lean in his favor, King Mankara, who is not a great warrior, stands up and as an enlightened sovereign, retorts with who he is.
We thus discover that the integrity of the Mankara far surpasses the honor of the Kori-Odan. What's beautiful about this scene is that we indeed see two powerful people expressing who they are and the influence it has on others.
And it's a symbol of what we believe to be the quintessence and the art behind politics and leadership.
Be aware of the “romantization” trap of leadership and politics
The Volume 9 of Aurion shows the existential beauty between two people who vibrate at their extremes and who ultimately challenge, respect, and impose their view on each other and their surroundings.
Thanks to the artists, it’s really something to the eyes and the herat when you read the full volume. BUT it raises the question of those who are influenced by those leaders, what is their choice?
When finally, two all-powerful leaders enter a room and come out deciding on war or peace, what freedom is there for those who were around, who, for example, found themselves crushed, influenced by these auras, by these vibrations?
So here we are, and these are precisely all these reflections that will be developed in volumes 9, 10. You can discover our Aurion Story in Graphic on Amazon/Kindle here : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZTYV22C
